European Biological Medicine

Biological medicine has been developed in Europe over the last 45 years. Biological medicine, as practiced at Pine Tree Clinic, is an effective and successful approach to the healing of disease and combines homeopathy, acupuncture meridian principles, nutritional understanding, and a host of other diagnostic and therapeutic modalities under one comprehensive and truly integrative pattern of healing practice. Biological medicine supports each person’s inherent processes of self-healing and internal regeneration

Rather than merely treating and suppressing symptoms, the practitioner of biological medicine works in an active partnership with a patient to discover and address the deeper causes and underlying patterns of illness within the matrix of life. In biological medicine, there is a deep trust in the natural intelligence of the body/mind/spirit unity of each person. The focus of the practitioner of biological medicine is to help patients remove the accumulation of blockages to the full expression of their innate natures.

The guiding principle of biological medicine is that illness develops out of the imbalances in the biological terrain that comprises our internal milieu or environment. These imbalances are usually precipitated by a combination of causes, including environmental toxicities, heavy metals, nutritional deficiencies, electromagnetic disturbances, dental and other hidden body infections, as well as unresolved psycho-emotional and spiritual conflicts. A combination of these imbalances, occurring in differing patterns in each of us, will generate dysfunctional patterns in our biochemistry and physiology. We become aware of these dysfunctional patterns through symptoms. By the time symptoms occur, our inherent capacities at self-regulation have become weakened. Due to the accumulation of toxins that eventually impregnate and weaken the function of many cells in our body, our energy decreases, our immunity becomes deficient, and our thinking becomes impaired.

The biological medicine practitioner, often working in tandem with a good biologically oriented dentist, conducts a comprehensive patient evaluation. In addition to in-depth personal interviews and a physical examination, the practitioner may suggest certain objective diagnostic tests. These include computerized regulation thermography, autonomic nervous system assessment, a panoramic X ray of the mouth, and specific blood and urine evaluations that can reveal weaknesses in the function of your internal organs and tissues. It is only by addressing these imbalances in the biological terrain that we have the possibility of healing, and not merely suppressing symptoms. In recent years, these evaluations of body function have been able to define metabolic abnormalities of illness, long before pathological disease occurs. This is true preventive medicine.

The wonderful multifaceted nature of biological medicine is that it integratestraditional ways of healing from ancient cultures with modern technologies. The practitioner is able to craft a unique, effective program of healing for each patient that is based on sound principles of scientific observation.

The therapies employed embrace a wide spectrum. These include more physical approaches such as nutrition and supplements, herbs, physical/structural therapies, and dynamic and energy-oriented methods such as homeopathy and acupuncture. Therapies also often include remedies to improve the biological terrain by helping to reestablish a “right relationship” between the body’s tissues and the host of microorganisms that live within us. The biological practitioner also works to uncover hidden, yet frequently present, dental focal disorders that are impacting health. In addition, the practitioner helps patients determine the inner psycho-emotional dysfunctions that are affecting their autonomic or unconscious nervous system, glands, and organs. Because illness has often taken decades to develop, the process of healing often requires time, patience, and a fundamental change of lifestyle.

Biological Medicines

Remedies used in biological medicine can help to balance the acid/base and internal biochemistry, and strengthen the immune system. This rebalancing of the internal terrain is an essential part of the healing process. Rebalancing the internal terrain increases the effectiveness of homeopathic and other approaches of natural medicine. These remedies are sold under the product line name of Sanum or San Pharma.

Note that biological medicines are much more effective if the biological terrain is becoming more alkaline. Eating more alkaline-producing vegetables, taking green drinks that alkalinize, or both will help accomplish this.

To reap their full effectiveness in chronic illness, biological medicines do need to be taken over a long period of time, sometimes six months to a year. They most often work slowly and gently, like homeopathic remedies. It is possible to have some minor discomforts, such as intestinal gas or a slight decrease in energy, for a few days to a week after first beginning them. This is a minor nuisance compared to how much they can help.
