Microcurrent Therapy

Microcurrent therapy is a powerful tool for encouraging healing. Microcurrent may be used in massage and also by simply placing electrodes placed on specific places on the body.
Microcurrent is extremely low amperage, current in millionths of an amp, that operates below the threshold of pain. It is completely normal for a patient not to feel anything during a treatment.
Current in millionths of an amp has the ability to penetrate the cell as opposed to going around the cell as stronger devices, like TENS units, do. Many professional sports teams, as well as Lance Armstrong and his Tour de France team, treat their athletes with microcurrent to improve their performance before a game, and to help heal their injuries after a game.
At Pine Tree Clinic, we incorporate three different kinds of microcurrent therapies:

• ISO2: Reduces inflammation, regenerates tissues and supports organ systems

• KMT: Entrains the immune system to recognize the presence of hidden infections and takes appropriate action.

• Elite 2: Lymph drainage

Microcurrent:

• Increases the production of ATP, which is stored cellular energy that the cell uses to function
• Increases blood circulation
• Protein synthesis increases, assisting in tissue repair
• Helps increase the absorption of nutrients and the elimination of waste products
• Positively supports the biological processes of the neurological system, the endocrine system and the musculoskeletal system
• Decongests lymph fluid
• Mobilizes heavy metals so that they may leave the body
• Reduces and/or eliminates pain
• Reduces pain from TMJ
• Treats eye problems
• Balances the meridians
As with other therapies at Pine Tree Clinic, to be deeply effective requires repeated applications. These may be done concurrently with other therapies during your visit.
