Through tapping specific energy meridian points on your body, you begin the process of disengaging from negative, destructive emotional and thought patterns that weaken your energy and restore life-affirming connections. TAPPING Tapping, or Mental Field Therapy, is performed by tapping in specific ways at specifically prescribed points on the body. Patients can learn how to do this tapping for themselves. The points tapped correspond to acupuncture points. Tapping is done to repair the disruptions at more subtle energetic acupuncture points that result from emotional traumas and deep conflicts. Although the roots of tapping go back two thousand years in Chinese medicine, tapping as we know it today comes from the work of Roger Callahan’s Thought Field Therapy (TFT). This was then followed by Gary Craig’s Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and then by Dietrich Klinghardt’s Mental Field Therapy (MFT). Tapping could be the most important of all energy therapies. This is because tapping specifically repairs energetic tears in the meridians that occur because of our beliefs and thoughts, which exert a powerful effect on our electromagnetic fields and our biochemistry. Tapping specific energy meridian points on the body begins the process of disengaging from negative, destructive emotional and thought patterns that weaken our energy, and restoring life-affirming connections.
